Born in the North East of England in 1976, Leon Thompson got into music at an early age.

He joined his local choir and by the age of 12 was learning to play tunes by ear on keyboards. Growing up through the 90's, he realised his passion in life was music and was influenced by many bands. This gave him an ongoing inspiration to write tracks of his own.

After gaining a City & Guilds in programming in 1993, he studied radio production at  Wear FM - now Sun FM where he helped out on the Keith Laws Dance Shows. After graduating in Radio Production, he tested his own music in a local night club to gauge its response. As the DJ played Leon’s track, he was overwhelmed at the crowd’s reaction. This gave him the motivation to write more new material. Seeking to expand his knowledge in music, he achieved HND in music production in 2005.

It was then that Leon broke into the music industry and was asked to put his keyboard wizardry onto a track for Demolition Records. Seen by many as a pioneer of creating syncopated grooves, Leon joined up with Boom Music in 2008.  This allows him to provide high quality music for use in advertising, broadcast, film and events.

More recently, Leon decided to establish his own independent digital label from his north east studio/headquarters.

The name itself has a personal double meaning.  Leon has been trying for so long to get into the industry and was not going to give up, and the other because the music isn't something you can sit down to. It simply gives you the energy to get up and dance and it keeps you there!

As well as composing and recording tracks for his own label, Leon's tracks 'Like This' and 'Pump It Up' have been released on 'Street Beatz' album - Boom Music.
